A herd of wild elephants appears in the forest on the Thai-Cambodian border

On May 29, 2024, the Department of National Parks and Wildlife of the Thai Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment released a photo of a herd of wild elephants taken in Dong Yai Wildlife Sanctuary in Buriram Province in the northeast, near the Cambodian border. 51 elephants have been confirmed.

Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces list of countries that can stay in Thailand for 60 days without a visa or with a visa on arrival

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday announced a list of 93 countries that can enter Thailand without a visa or stay for up to 60 days with a visa on arrival.

To promote tourism and increase tourism revenue, the Thai Cabinet agreed on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 to waive visa measures for a total of 93 countries.

The list includes 57 countries whose citizens can stay in Thailand for 30 days without a visa, 13 countries that have recently been waived from visa requirements, and another 6 countries whose citizens can stay in Thailand for 60 days without a visa.

The 57 countries that are already visa-exempt and can stay for 60 days on arrival are:

Number plate auction in Thailand, highest price reaches 6 million baht

The Land Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport of Thailand auctioned off 301 car license plates on May 25 and 26, 2024, with a total sale of 55,452,708 baht (approximately 238 million yen). Proceeds will be donated to the Traffic Safety Fund.
