Koh Kradan in Trang province reopens for the first time in 4 months on October 1, 2023
Koh Kradan, which won the prestigious title of "World's Best Beach" by the World Beach Guide in early 2023, will reopen its beaches for the first time in four months on October 1, 2023. During the closure, conservation efforts to protect the island's ecosystem were prioritized. Access to the island is expected to be available until May 31, 2024.

The number of foreign visitors to Thailand in August 2023 is about 2.14 million, an decrease of about 340,000 from 2.49 million in July 2023.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released statistics on the number of foreigners entering Thailand in August 2023.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners who entered Thailand in August 2023 was 2,144,948.

The number of foreigners entering Thailand in July 2023 was 2,490,643, so the number of foreigners entering Thailand has decreased significantly by approximately 340,000. There will be 230,000 more people in June 2023 than in May. In July, there was a steady increase of 250,000 people compared to June, but in August there was a sharp decline of 340,000 people. In August, the number of Chinese tourists decreased by 320,000 compared to July. Since the overall number of tourists decreased by 340,000, it seems that the decrease in Chinese tourists was the main cause of this month's decrease.

New terminal at Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport started operating on September 19, 2023
The newly built 2nd Passenger Terminal at Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport in Nakhon Si Thammarat province in southern Thailand has been completed and began operations on September 19, 2023.

The new terminal will increase Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport's annual passenger handling capacity to 4.6 million passengers.
