Phuket Top 25 Restaurants 2023 Announced, the third annual restaurant guide award in 2023, has announced the top 25 restaurants in Phuket for 2023.

The award ceremony was hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Phuket Office and attended by Phuket's tourism industry and media personnel, and the top 25 restaurants were presented with prestigious trophies, as well as highlighting the charm of Phuket.

The winner of this year's award was "hom'' (at InterContinental Phuket resort), helmed by chef Ricardo Nunez, who uses ingredients sourced from around Phuket and serves dishes inspired by fermentation.

Thailand VAT tax rate remains at 7% until September 2024
At a cabinet meeting held on September 13, 2023, the Thai Cabinet decided to keep the value added tax (VAT) rate unchanged at the current 7% until the end of September 2024.

The VAT rate was lowered from 10% to 7% in April 1999 as a temporary measure to stimulate the economy, and has remained at 7% ever since.

The stock code is "COCOCO". The public price was 5.5 baht, and the closing price on the first day was 7.9 baht.

The 1.973 billion baht raised through the initial public offering (IPO) will be used for expanding production facilities, working capital, and repaying loans.

“Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2024”, an international tournament to determine the Asian champion of “Pokémon UNITE”, will be held in Thailand
The Pokémon Co., Ltd. will hold the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2024 (hereinafter referred to as "PUACL2024") through February 2024.

●Tournament overview
The final offline tournament "PUACL2024 Finals", which will bring together strong teams from all over Asia, will be held in February 2024 at "TRUE ICON HALL" in Bangkok, Thailand.

The right to participate in the "PUACL 2024 Finals" is an open participation tournament that will be held in a total of eight countries or regions from around November 2023, and the top teams from those tournaments will be invited to participate in the "PUACL 2024 Finals", which will be held from around December 2023. It can be obtained by winning the PUACL2024 Regional Stage.

“Pokémon World Championships 2023” (hereinafter referred to as “WCS2023”) Each team that has qualified to participate in the “Pokémon Unite” division will receive seeding rights and will be able to directly participate in the final round. However, in order to obtain seeding rights, three or more of the five players registered as starters when qualifying for WCS2023 must continue to be on the team.

Chiang Mai Airport plans to build new terminal
Chiang Mai Airport is planning to build a new terminal. Currently, Chiang Mai Airport has an annual passenger traffic of 8 million people. Once completed, the new terminal will double the airport's capacity to 16.5 million passengers. The number of flights will also be doubled to up to 30 flights per hour, and operating hours will be extended to accommodate more international flights, particularly from Europe.

The new terminal will be built in phases, with the first phase expected to take three years to complete and finally become operational in 2029.
