Bangkok Airways will launch a new Bangkok-Lampang-Mae Hong route from August 2, 2023 
Bangkok Airways has announced that it will operate a new route between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) - Lampang - Mae Hong Son from August 2, 2023.

The flight schedule is three flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the aircraft used is an ATR72-600 (70 economy seats).

The flight schedule is as follows.

Bangkok→Lampang→Mae Hong Son (PG205)
Mon, Wed, Fri (3 flights a week)
12:05 : Depart from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)
13:40 : Arrival at Lampang
14:10 : Depart from Lampang
15:00 : Arrival at Mae Hong Son

Mae Hong Son → Lampang → Bangkok (PG206)
Mon, Wed, Fri (3 flights a week)
15:00 : Depart from Mae Hong Son
16:20 : Arrival at Lampang
17:00 : Depart from Lampang
18:35 : Arrival at Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)

It is also possible to be availabe only between Lampang and Mae Hong Son. Tickets are already on sale.

The Airports of Thailand (AOT) and The Department of Airports (DOA) have released the usage figures for major airports in Thailand from January to June 2023.

The top 10 airports for Thai domestic and international passenger numbers are as follows:

Former boxing 6-division champion Pacquiao VS former K-1 MAX champion Buakaw to fight in January 2024
A press conference attended by boxing former 6-division champion Manny Pacquiao (44 = Philippines) and former K-1 World MAX champion Buakaw Por Pramuk (41 = Thailand) from Surin, Thailand was held on July 21, 2023 at Icon Siam, a popular complex in Bangkok, Thailand, and it was officially announced that the match between the two will be realized in January 2024.

Although the venue and detailed schedule of the match have not been announced, it is decided that they will fight in January 2024 under the 70 kg contract weight boxing rule (6 rounds, 2 minute intervals). The name of the event will be "The Match of Legend", and the winner will be presented with a "Legend Belt" produced with the full cooperation of the WBC.

Pacquiao entered Thailand on a private jet on the night of July 20, 2023, and met Buakaw for the first time. "I've always heard Buakaw's reputation as a great Muay Thai fighter. I'm happy to be in this fight. I'm 90% ready. I'm sure on fight day I'll be 100% ready," said Pacquiao. On the other hand, Buakaw was deeply moved, saying, "It's like a dream to have my first professional boxing match with a great boxer like Pacquiao."

Thai government considers allowing entertainment facilities to operate 24 hours a day in Chonburi, Chachoengsao and Rayong provinces
To promote tourism in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) region, a special economic zone consisting of Chonburi, Chachoengsao, and Rayong provinces in eastern Thailand, the Thai government is considering allowing entertainment facilities in the three provinces to operate 24 hours a day.

A proposal to allow 24-hour entertainment venues in the three EEC provinces was approved by the Cabinet on Tuesday 18 July 2023.

Mr. Damrongkiat Phinitkan, secretary of the Entertainment and Tourism Association of Pattaya City, said the project would benefit local businesses and boost the region's tourism economy. Mr. Damrongkiat also expressed his belief that if the plan is approved, Pattaya will be able to compete with other world-class tourist destinations in Europe, South Korea and Japan.

Thailand's longest skywalk to open in Suphanburi in 2025
A skywalk under construction at U Thong Ancient City Nature Trail in U Thong District, Suphanburi Province, central Thailand, is scheduled to open in 2025.

This skywalk is 32 meters high and 500 meters long. There is a 9-story glass-enclosed elevator that allows you to walk while admiring the scenery. It is also designed to be safe and stable, each floor panel is made of safety glass that can withstand up to 500Kg. At 500 meters in length, it will be the longest skywalk in Thailand.

Suphanburi Governor Nattapat Suwanprateep said the skywalk will promote historical tourism in the region, especially about the Dvaravati period, and is expected to attract more Buddhist pilgrims.
