150-million-year-old dinosaur bones found in northeastern Thailand
Dinosaur skeletons discovered by scientists in northeastern Thailand likely belonged to Minimocursor phunoiensis, a species that was abundant in what is now the Khorat Plateau 150 million years ago. researchers said.

The newly discovered bones "are among the best-preserved dinosaurs ever found in Southeast Asia," scientists said in a paper published earlier this month.

Paleontologist Mr. Clint Boyd said, "The bones found here are well-preserved, unusually well-preserved for animals of this species, fairly complete from base of neck to base of tail, and an ornithischian dinosaur. It gives us a lot of information about the early evolution of this group.

Minimocursor phunoiensis is a dinosaur that likely lived in the late Jurassic period about 150 million years ago. Mr. Boyd says the find is interesting because "no good fossil record has been found anywhere in the world, let alone Southeast Asia."

The specimen is over 50% complete and is now kept at Mahasarakham University.

15 million foreign tourists visited Thailand in 7 months from January to July 2023
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is rolling out a new campaign in 2023, "Amazing Thai Health and Wellness: New Chapters, New Experience". Due to the success of this campaign, 15 million foreign tourists visited Thailand in the seven months from January to July 2023.

Thailand is also a popular filming location, with TAT's Thai Film Office (TFO) saying that 246 films from 32 countries have used Thailand as a filming location in the first half of 2023. This is because the Thai government offers incentives for foreign producers to choose Thailand as a filming location, including cash rebates of 15% to 20% if they invest at least 50 million baht while filming in Thailand.

The TFO reported that the US invested 519 million baht in 14 projects, followed by China with 349 million baht in 17 projects. Hong Kong spent 328 million baht on 11 projects, the UK spent 261 million baht on 19 projects, and Germany spent 201 million baht on 11 film production projects.

The TAT expects tourism revenue to reach 3 trillion baht in 2024, including 1.92 trillion baht from international tourists and 1.8 trillion baht from domestic tourists.

The number of foreign visitors to Thailand in June 2023 is about 2.24 million, an increase of about 2,30,000 from May 2023 when it was 2.01 million
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released statistics on the number of foreigners entering Thailand in June 2023.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners who entered Thailand in June 2023 was 2,241,201.

There was a slight decrease for two consecutive months from March 2023 to April 2023 and from April 2023 to May 2023, but it is believed that tourists avoided the hot season due to the extremely hot season from April to May.
