Thailand Elite Cup 2023' in Ayutthaya to be held on February 26, 2023
Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. and Thailand Elite Information Center will hold a golf competition "Thailand Elite Cup 2023" in Ayutthaya on February 26, 2023 at Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club.

The venue is Royal Bang Pa-in Golf Club. A beautiful golf club located approximately 45 minutes drive from central Bangkok.

One caddy per player and one cart per player. A Thai female professional golfers will also participate to liven up the event.

Bangkok tops Airbnb destination trend list for 2022
Based on searches conducted in the first to third quarters of this year, Bangkok has topped the list of most popular destinations globally in the 2022 Airbnb Destination Trends list.

Airbnb data shows a significant increase in his Airbnb accommodation searches in Thailand since early 2022. Data shows that from January to March 2022, searches for Airbnb accommodations in Thailand surged by 180% compared to the same period in 2021.

Thailand has hotspots such as Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui, which are popular with foreign tourists, but Bangkok is still the most popular tourist destination in Thailand, beating out these popular tourist destinations. .

Number of Japanese restaurants in Thailand reaches 5,325
According to the 2022 survey of Japanese restaurants in Thailand conducted by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) (survey period of the number of stores from September 1 to November 15, 2022), there are 5325 Japanese restaurants in Thailand. The number increased by 953 (21.9%) from 4,370 in the previous year's survey.

The number of stores by industry and year-on-year comparisons are as follows.
“Sushi”: 1431 stores (up 19.6% YoY)
“Japanese restaurants (general Japanese restaurants, etc.)“: 1,273 (up 18.9% YoY)
“Ramen“: 611 stores (+33.1% YoY)
“Suki/Shabu:“ 386 (up 16.3% YoY)
“Izakaya”: 369 (up 34.2% YoY)
“Yakiniku“: 341 stores (up 29.2% YoY)
“Cafe“: 278 stores (up 22.5% YoY)
“Donburi specialty”: 167 stores (+9.9% YoY)
“Curry/Omurice”: 141 stores (+33% YoY)
“Western food”: 129 stores (up 13.2% YoY)
“Deep-fried food“: 123 stores (up 30.9% YoY)

By region, there were 2,394 stores in Bangkok, 352 in Chonburi, 328 in Nonthaburi, and 241 in Chiang Mai.

The number of foreigners visiting Thailand in November 2022 will increase by about 170,000 from September
Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released statistics on foreign arrivals in November 2022.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners entering the country in November 2022 was 1,748,366.

The number of foreigners entering Thailadn in October 2022 was 1,475,430, which means that there was a rapid increase of about 270,000 in one month. The number of new cases was about 230,000 from April to May, about 260,000 from June to July, and about 50,000 from July to August. The rate of increase from July to August was much slower than before, but the number of increases from August to September increased by about 130,000, and the number of increases from September to October increased by about 170,000. The increase in the number of people, the increase in the number of people from October to November was about 270,000, which was the largest increase this year.

In Thailand, almost all regulations related to the COVID-19 have been abolished. Restrictions on the use of facilities that attract foreign tourists visiting Thailand, including entertainment facilities, have been lifted, and now the situation is almost back to normal before the corona crisis. Thai AirAsia launches new Bangkok-Taipei route from 20 January 2023
Low-cost airline Thai AirAsia has announced that it will launch new direct flights between Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok and Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan from January 20, 2023.

The Bangkok-Taipei route will operate four times a week, using an Airbus A320 (180 economy seats).

The flight schedule is as follows.

Taiwan used to have a strict COVID-19 infection prevention policy that was close to a zero-COVID-19 policy, but the policy changed as the infection situation improved. Regarding immigration regulations, it is now possible to enter Taiwan without quarantine from October 13, 2022. At present, the Taiwanese tourism industry, like the Thai tourism industry, is implementing various measures aimed at increasing the number of foreign tourists visiting Taiwan.

Along with this, direct flights between Bangkok and Taipei have gradually resumed. Currently, seven airlines operate direct flights between Bangkok and Taipei: China Airlines, EVA Air, Starlux Airlines, Tigerair Taiwan, Thai Airways International, Thai VietJet Air and Thai Lion Air. Thai AirAsia will be the eighth airline.

Please note that Thai AirAsia's direct flights between Bangkok and Taipei is from/to Don Mueang Airport, not Suvarnabhumi Airport.
