Pattaya Bikini Beach Race 2022 is coming
Thailand's sexiest running event "PATTAYA INTERNATIONAL BIKINI BEACH RACE 2022" will be held on October 29th at Pattaya Beach.
The "PATTAYA INTERNATIONAL BIKINI BEACH RACE" is a 5km race on Pattaya Beach and is expected to attract more than 3,000 runners from more than 10 countries around the world. After the race, a party will be held with many Thai celebrities and Thai internet idols, including Thai artists.
Those who wish to participate can register at THB 800 for Thais on the App Kee Laa website and at THB 1,600 for foreigners on the World’s Marathon website.
Participants will receive running shirts and sports bras (women only), medals for finishers, and food and drink provided by sponsors.

Three regions of the Andaman Sea to apply for UNESCO recognition
Three protected areas in the Andaman Sea are likely to apply for recognition by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The Similan Islands Nature Reserve in the Andaman Sea is open to a limited number of tourists for a limited period of time each year from October 15th to May 15th of the following year. As the Similan Islands are currently preparing to reopen for tourism on 15 October 2022, Minister Varawut Silpa-archa of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand announced that the maintenance and waste collection project on Koh Miang of the Similan Islands in Phangnga province.
The ministry is reportedly planning to propose a nature reserve in the Andaman Sea for UNESCO designation. This nature reserve covers an area of about 30,000 square kilometers and the three Andaman coastal areas of Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket. UNESCO accreditation is expected to be completed in February 2023.
Minister Varawut said, “At the moment, the Andaman Sea is preparing for the diving season.The Andaman coast is a very unique place, so it needs long-term protection, so we want to register it with UNESCO.”
The Phang Nga Bay area, which includes Khao Lak, the Similan Islands and Surin Island, is full of pristine places that are rarely visited by tourists, including rainforest wildlife and vibrant local life amid mangroves. In order to protect this beautiful nature of Thailand forever, we would like to expect that the UNESCO designation will be completed in February 2023.
JAL and ANA to reduce fuel surcharge on Bangkok flights from December
Japan Airlines (JAL) and All Nippon Airways(ANA) has announced that they will reduce the fuel surcharge for Bangkok flights in December 2022 and January 2023.
Due to the situation in Ukraine in 2022, airline companies' fuel surcharges have been repeatedly raised, and JAL's fuel surcharges for October and November 2022 have reached a record high.
Fuel surcharges are reviewed bimonthly based on average international aviation fuel prices. Passengers must pay a fuel surcharge in addition to the fare and will be collected at the time the ticket is issued.
JAL's fuel surcharge for flights from Japan to Thailand is as follows.
October/November 2022: 29,800 yen
and January 2023: 24,700 yen

Airlines to resume Bangkok-Taiwan routes
Due to the pandemic, Taiwan has implemented very strict immigration regulations, including home quarantine. From October 13th, immigration restrictions have been relaxed to change to self-quarantine. Also, from October 13th, domestic public transportation can be used in Taiwan. This deregulation will make it easier for Taiwanese to travel abroad, and it is expected that demand for trips to Bangkok from Taiwan will increase significantly in the near future.
In light of this situation, airlines are beginning to resume or newly launch flights between Bangkok and Taiwan.
Low-cost airline Thai Lion Air has announced that it will resume flights between Bangkok and Taipei, Taiwan from December 17, 2022.
And, Thai Smile, a subsidiary of Thai Airways International, has also announced that it will resume direct flights between Bangkok and Kaohsiung, Taiwan from December 1, 2022.

"Thai Festival in SAGA 2022" will be held on 10/22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun) in Saga Prefecture Kokorozashi no Mori
The "Thai Festival" has been held in Saga Prefecture every year since 2017. This year in 2022, it will be held on October 22nd (Sat) and 23rd (Sun) at the Saga Prefectural Library south side plaza "Kokorozashi no Mori" in the south moat of Saga Castle Park.
In the festival, there will be many hands-on workshops such as Peter Corn mask making and Krathong (light lantern) making workshops.
In addition, collaboration between Saga and Thailand in terms of music, dance, sports, and culture will also be realized.
There will also be a donko boat experience at Saga Castle Park, which is reminiscent of Thailand's Kumphawapi. Kumphawapi is a lake in Thailand named "Red Lotus Sea". Kumphawapi is a lake located approximately 43 km southeast of Udon Thani city in Thailand, almost in the center of Kumphawapi District. The lake is filled with red lotus flowers, and the lake is dyed red, giving it the name “Red Lotus Sea (Talay Bua Daeng/official name: Nong Han)”.
On the 22nd, the first day of the festival, a Thai food stall village will be held with the image of a Thai night market and decorated with sky lanterns.
