The Thai Cabinet has approved guidelines for the sale of new digital lotteries, specifically the two-digit and three-digit online lottery (N3).

In the N3 lottery, i.e. the two-digit and three-digit online lottery, the prize money will be carried over to the next drawing for up to one drawing if there is no winner. If still unclaimed, the prize money will be sent to the state treasury. The drawings will be held on the 1st and 16th of every month. Buyers can choose each three-digit number between 000 and 999, and can also repeat the same number. The prize money varies depending on the number of tickets sold, and buyers can take advantage of real-time updates of the prize pool. The GLO will announce the prize distribution percentage in advance.

The N3 lottery has four prize categories: perfect match (all numbers and positions are correct), any order (all numbers are correct but in any order), two-digit exact match (all numbers and positions are correct), and special prize or jackpot (matching a special draw number). According to the law, 60% of the sales revenue goes to prize money, at least 23% to the state, and up to 17% to administrative costs.

We are currently considering this new lottery system, with a price range set at 20 to 50 baht. The aim is to allow more people to legally enjoy the lottery by selling cheaper tickets, not just the high-priced ones.

It is also expected that this new lottery system will create many job opportunities.
