"ICONIC Songkran Festival 2024" will be held from April 10th to 21st

ICONIC Songkran Festival 2024 is scheduled to be held at ICONSIAM from April 10th to 21st.

The event comes in the wake of Songkran's recent recognition as a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage Site, and ICONSIAM and its partners will invet more than 60 million Baht .

The festival aims to attract people from all over the world to visit Icon Siam, regardless of the season, by offering a combination of traditional Thai water-splashing activities and modern cultural experiences.

There are several attractions during the festival, including a seven-day parade of the Songkran goddess performed by famous actresses and artists, and a water throwing event. Those looking to revel are encouraged to wear a "floral shirt" to the festival.

Nitori opens its 5th store in Thailand at “Icon Siam”

Japanese furniture giant Nitori opened a store on March 28, 2024 in Icon Siam, a large commercial facility on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

Store area approximately 2100 square meters. Nitori opened its first store in Thailand in August 2023 at Central World, a commercial facility in central Bangkok. The recently opened “Icon Siam” is our 5th store in Thailand.

Thai AirAsia launches Bangkok (Don Mueang) - Beijing (Daxing) route

Low-cost airline Thai AirAsia (FD) has announced that it will launch direct flights between Bangkok and Beijing, China from July 1, 2024.

The Airbus A320neo (186 economy seats) flies between Bangkok and Beijing.

The planned flight schedule is as follows.
Bangkok (Don Mueang) ⇔ Beijing (Daxing) (from July 1, 2024)

The State Railway of Thailand holds a ceremony to celebrate its 127th anniversary at Hua Lamphong Station

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) celebrated its 127th anniversary on March 26, 2024. On the same day, a ceremony commemorating the 127th anniversary of the company's opening was held at Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong Station) in Bangkok.

Bicycle sharing service starts in Bangkok from Monday, March 18, 2024

Bicycle sharing service has started in Bangkok from March 18, 2024 (Monday). By making short-distance travel faster and easier in areas where trains and buses do not pass, it is expected to reduce traffic density and contribute to reducing air pollution.

Bicycle sharing service involves private companies such as Anywheel, ปั่นได้, ปันปั่น working with governments to provide bicycles, set up parking lots, and set up appropriate return points.

Initially, around 700 bicycles will be available, but this number is planned to increase to 1,500 by May 2024. There is currently a free test drive available.

The 2026 World Cup Qualifying Group C match between Thailand and South Korea will be held today, March 26th (Tuesday) at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.

The Thai national soccer team, led by coach Masatada Ishii, is steadily preparing for this match.
