The number of foreigners who visited Thailand in January 2024 was approximately 3.035 million, a decrease of approximately 226,000 from December 2023, which was 3.261 million.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released statistics on the number of foreigners entering Thailand in January 2024.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners who entered Thailand in January 2024 was 3,035,296. There were 3,261,257 people in November, so this was a significant decrease of 225,961 people.

In 2023, many tourists visited Thailand during the Christmas and New Year holidays in December, but now that the Christmas and New Year holidays are over, the number of foreign tourists who visited Thailand has decreased. It is thought that it has decreased. Another factor was the significant drop in the number of tourists from Malaysia. However, January and February are Thailand's high season. The number of tourists is expected to increase further in February.

Hong Kong Express begins operating Hong Kong-Bangkok (Don Mueang) route from April 25th

Low-cost airline HK Express has announced that it will resume direct flights between Hong Kong International Airport and Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport from April 25, 2024.

There is one round trip per day between Hong Kong and Don Mueang, and the aircraft used is an Airbus A320 (180 economy seats).

The planned schedule is as follows.
Hong Kong ⇔ Bangkok (Don Mueang) (from April 25, 2024)
UO792 HKG16:15 DMK18:20 Daily
UO793 DMK19:05 HKG22:55 Daily

To commemorate the launch of the Don Mueang Line, the company is holding a sale on all of its routes in Thailand. Target routes include Hong Kong - Bangkok (Don Mueang), Hong Kong - Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi), Hong Kong - Phuket, and Hong Kong - Chiang Mai.

HK Express Airlines already operates a route between Hong Kong and Suvarnabhumi, and with the resumption of the Don Mueang route, the route to Bangkok will have two airports.

Unmanned cameras capture images of wild tigers, crocodiles, otters and more in a national park in central Thailand

On February 22, 2024, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Flora, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand announced that an unmanned camera installed in Kaeng Krajan National Park in the central province of Petchaburi succeeded in taking photos of wild tigers, crocodiles, otters, etc. The photo has been published.

The photos were taken in January and February in the upper reaches of the Phetchaburi River in the national park.
