Thailand continues price support for natural gas for vehicles (NGV)
Thailand's Ministry of Energy has begun considering extending the support period for natural gas for vehicles (NGV) prices to reduce the impact on truck, public vehicle and taxi operators.

The truck will be givem a discount on NGV sales for 6 months. Gas stations located outside the pipeline route will offer a discount of approximately 0.50 baht per kilogram, while gas stations along the pipeline route will offer a discount of approximately 1 baht per kilogram. After the six-month support period, the retail price of the NGV will follow the normal pricing structure.
For general vehicles, the NGV price subsidy period will be extended from January 1, 2024 to May 15, 2024, and NGVs will be sold at a price of 19.59 baht per kilogram. The retail price of NGVs for civilian use will then match the pricing structure applicable to trucks.

WeChat Pay now available on BTS Skytrain
BTS SkyTrain has enabled WeChat Pay payments on the SkyTrain, with the aim of making it easier for Chinese tourists and commuters to travel in and around Bangkok. WeChat Pay payments are available at ticket vending machines at all BTS Dark Red Line, Light Green Line, and Gold Line stations.
This service was made possible by linking WeChat Pay with Rabbit Gateway, an electronic payment system operated by Rabbit LINE Pay.
Currently, Chinese travelers are exempted from visas when entering Thailand, and this measure will be in place until February 2024.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is expecting a surge in Chinese tourists, with at least 8.5 million expected to arrive by the end of next year, a significant increase from the 3.5 million expected this year. This inflow is expected to generate approximately 400 billion baht in revenue.
