Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) resumes direct flights from Copenhagen to Bangkok for the first time in 10 years
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), a joint operator of the three Scandinavian countries Denmark, Sweden and Norway, has announced that it resumed direct flights from Copenhagen to Bangkok for the first time in 10 years.
The Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) - Copenhagen route will operate three times a week during the winter season until April 2nd. The aircraft used is an Airbus A350. Seating capacity: 300 seats.

SAS has a long history of operating flights to Bangkok from Scandinavian countries for over 64 years.
In the first nine months of 2023, 254,417 tourists visited Thailand from Scandinavian countries, including Denmark, Norway and Sweden, an increase of 149.66% compared to the same period in 2022. With the return of direct flights, it is expected that the number of tourists from Scandinavia to Thailand will increase. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) aims to welcome 404,452 tourists from the Scandinavian market to Thailand in 2023, generating revenue of 39.31 billion baht.

Bangkok Airways begins operating Don Mueang-Samui route
Bangkok Airways has started operating direct flights between Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport and Koh Samui from October 29, 2023.
Bangkok Airways used to only operate flights to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport, but from now on it started operating flights to and from Don Mueang Airport, making Bangkok a two-airport system.
There are three round trips a day between Don Mueang and Samui.

Thai government started to discuss that entertainment facilities in designated areas in Thailand can open until 4am
In Thailand, entertainment facilities in designated areas such as nightclubs are currently closed until 2 a.m.
With the aim of boosting tourism and the domestic economy, the Thai government is making adjustments to extend the legal operating hours of nightclubs and other entertainment venues in these designated areas until 4am.
On October 25, 2023, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a meeting with relevant organizations such as the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Health, and the police to discuss specific measures. A draft ministerial ordinance for implementation is scheduled to be compiled and submitted to the Cabinet in the near future.
