Malaysia's MYAirline Launches New Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok Route
Malaysian low-cost airline MYAirline has announced the launch of a new direct flight route between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Bangkok, Thailand.

The new route will serve both Bangkok's two international airports, Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport. Tickets are on sale from 9:00 am (Thai time) on May 10, 2023.

Initially, the two airports will have one flight per day. From August 17, 2023, both airports will operate two flights per day.

The flight schedule is as follows.
Kuala Lumpur ⇔ Suvarnabhumi
(July 28-August 16, 2023)
1 flight per day
Z9 550 KUL 10:00 - BKK 11:20 daily
Z9 551 BKK 12:20 - KUL 15:50 daily

Bangkok Airways resumes direct flights between Koh Samui and Hong Kong 
Bangkok Airways has announced that it will resume direct flights between Koh Samui and Hong Kong from 1 July 2023.

There are three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The aircraft used is an Airbus A319 (12 seats in Blue Ribbon Class, 108 seats in Economy Class).

The flight schedule is as follows.
Samui ⇔ Hong Kong (From July 1, 2023)
PG805 USM 10:55 - HKG 15:15 Tue/Thu/Sat
PG806 HKG 16:15 - USM 18:35 Tue/Thu/Sat

Free checked baggage up to 20kg. In-flight meals are also provided at no additional charge. In addition, you can use the Bangkok Airways's lounge, which offers snacks and drinks at free of charge in Samui Airport.

Bangkok - Nakhon Pathom Steam Train Adventure Tickets Now On Sale
The State Railways of Thailand (SRT) has announced that tickets are now on sale for the 'Steam Train Adventure', which runs between Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom on June 3, 2023.

June 3rd is a national holiday in honor of Her Majesty the Queen's birthday. On this auspicious day, you can ride the Pacific Steam Locomotives 824 and 850, built by Nippon Sharyo in Japan right after World War II!

The steam locomotive schedule is as follows.
8:10 AM: Departure from Hua Lamphong Railway Station
Around 10:10am: Arrive at Nakhon Pathom Station and depart
4:30 PM: Arrive at Hua Lamphong Railway Station

The train stops at Salaya, Bang Bamru, Bang Sue Junction and Sam Sen stations along the way to pick up and drop off passengers, and passangers have around 6 hours of time to visit the sights.

Steam Train Adventure tickets are THB 299 for regular cabins and THB 1,999 for air-conditioned cabins and include snacks and water.

The number of foreigners visiting Thailand in March 2023 will increase by about 100,000 from February 2023
Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released foreign arrival statistics for March 2023.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners entering the country in March 2023 was 2,214,594.

The number of foreigners entering Thailand in February 2023 was 2,113,550, which means that there was an increase of about 100,000 in one month. Since the end of the COVID-19 crisis and the relaxation of immigration restrictions, the number of foreign tourists entering Thailand has increased steadily every month, but from December 2022 to January 2023, it will decrease by about 100,000. From January 2023 to February 2023, the number decreased by about 30,000, showing a downward trend for two consecutive months. March 2023 will see another increase, which is good news for the Thai tourism industry.

After the Christmas vacation and the year-end vacation, the increase in tourists had slowed down, but it can be said that tourism in Thailand is revitalizing again. There are fun events for foreign tourists such as Songkran in April. It is expected that the number of foreign tourists to Thailand will continue to increase in the future.
