February 2023 Thai motorcycle sales up 9%, 163,000 units
According to the Automobile Division of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the number of motorcycles produced in Thailand in February increased 11.4% year-on-year to 219,580 units, and January-February increased 12% year-on-year to 457,401 units.

Domestic sales in February increased by 9.2% year-on-year to 162,847 units, and January and February increased by 9.5% year-on-year to 322,104 units.

The number of vehicles exported in February decreased by 14.9% year-on-year to 77,584 units, and January-February decreased by 6.7% year-on-year to 165,158 units.

The number of foreigners visiting Thailand in February 2023 decreased by about 30,000 from January 2023
Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released foreign arrival statistics for February 2023.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners entering the country in January 2023 was 2,113,550.

The number of foreigners entering Thailand in January 2023 was 2,144,948, so it has decreased by about 30,000 in one month. Since the end of the COVID-19 crisis and the relaxation of immigration restrictions, the number of foreign tourists entering Thailand has increased steadily every month, but from December 2022 to January 2023, it decreased by about 100,000. From January 2023 to February 2023, the number of people decreased by about 30,000, indicating a downward trend for two consecutive months.

With the Christmas holidays and year-end holidays having come to an end, the number of tourists has slowed down, but it is expected that many foreign tourists will visit Thailand in April due to Songkran and other festivals.

SAIC Motor launches EV "MG ES" in Thailand 960,000 baht
MG Sales (Thailand), which sells "MG" brand cars in Thailand under SAIC Motor Group, a major Chinese automobile manufacturer, has announced a station wagon type electric vehicle (EV) "MG ES".

The MG ES was unveiled at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023, Thailand's largest motor show, which opened on March 22, 2023 in the suburbs of Bangkok.

The "MG ES" has a five-seat capacity and a cruising range of 412 kilometers. The selling price starts from 959,000 baht.

Thailand's new airline "Really Cool Airlines" established
A new airline, Really Cool Airlines, has been established in Thailand.

Really Cool Airlines was founded by Patti Sarasin, the founder and CEO of Nok Air, a low-cost airline. It plans to obtain the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by October 2023, and to start international flights from the end of 2023 at the earliest. It plans to operate routes to Japan, China, South Korea, Australia and Europe.

Really Cool Airlines is positioned between LCC and premium airlines. Airbus plans to lease wide-body Airbus A330s or A350s.
