AirAsia Plans to Launch 'AirAsia Ride', Thailand's First Legal Ride-Sharing Service for Private Vehicles
AirAsia, a major low-cost airline, announced on November 28 that it started a ride-sharing service "AirAsia Ride" using general vehicles in Thailand.

In this trend, in May 2021, the Thai Cabinet approved a decree of the Ministry of Transport to legalize ride-sharing using a ride-sharing app for general vehicles (capacity of 7 people or less), and registration will be accepted and reviewed from October 2021.

Currently, there has been no ride-sharing service approved by the Thai government, but this "AirAsia Ride" has been approved by the Thai government, and it became the first ride-sharing service in Thailand that uses general vehicles authorized by the Thai government. With this, it is expected that the Thai government will approve the ride-sharing service more.

AirAsia Ride is be available through the AirAsia app.
