The number of foreigners visiting Thailand in October 2023 was approximately 2.2 million, a increase of approximately 70,000 from September 2023, which was 2.13 million.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) has released statistics on the number of foreigners entering Thailand in September 2023.

According to data released by MOTS, the number of foreigners who entered Thailand in September 2023 was 2,197,017.

The number of foreigners entering Thailand in September 2023 was 2,130,596, so the number of foreigners entering Thailand increased by approximately 67,000 people. There was 230,000 more people in June 2023 than in May 2023. In July, there was a steady increase of 250,000 people from June, but from July to August there was a slight decrease of 22,000 people, and from September to August there was a large decrease of about 340,000 people. As the rainy season begins to end in October, it is assumed that the number of tourists from various countries has started to gradually increase overall.

Lampun's "100,000 Lantern Festival'' attracts global attention
Lamphun hosts an annual lantern festival that lasts for over a month during Loi Krathong season. This year, 2023, the Lantern Festival was held from October 4th to November 27th.

As part of this Lantern Festival, "Festival of a Hundred Thousand Lanterns in Lamphun'' was held on November 25, 2023 at Wat Phra That Haripunchai Woramahawihan grounds, paying homage to the Buddhist tradition of Phra That Hariphunchai, and a ceremony was held in which more than 100,000 lanterns were presented.

The "100,000 Lantern Festival'' attracted attention not only in Thailand but also globally, contributing to the promotion of cultural tourism in Lamphun. This event contributes to the creation of employment opportunities for the Lamphun community involved in lantern making and other traditional crafts, and supports the revitalization of the local economy.

We hope that many different people will continue to visit Lamphun from next year onwards.

Bangkok's new monorail Pink Line opens, 100,000 passengers on second day of operation
The new urban railway line "Pink Line" in the Bangkok metropolitan area, which started fare-free trial operation on November 21, 2023. It has 50,910 passangers on the first day of operation (operating hours 3-8 p.m.). And on the second day, November 22nd (6 a.m. to 8 p.m.), the number of passangers was 98,262.

The station with the highest number of passengers was Wat Phra Si Mahathat (PK16), which connects to the Urban Railway Light Green Line (BTS Sukhumvit Line), with 17,000 passengers.

The Pink Line runs north from Nonthaburi Civic Center Station (PK01) in Nonthaburi Province, then heads southeast to Minburi Station (PK30) in Minburi District, Bangkok for 34.5 km, with a total of 30 stations (see below). .

The entire line takes approximately 50 minutes. The service will run every 10 minutes and will be free of charge until its official opening date, scheduled for December 18, 2023.

Happy Loy Krathong
Please pray on Loy Krathong day so that many of our customers will be happy at our shop.
Thailand's Loy Krathong festival is also called the water festival. "Loy Krathong'' is an ancient custom among Thai people of floating(loy) lanterns(krathong) down the river.

At Loy Krathong, candles and incense sticks are placed on top of lanterns made from banana trunks and leaves, and the lanterns are floated down the river in hopes of driving away bad things and bringing good things.

Thailand national soccer team defeats Singapore 3-1
The Thai national soccer team won the match against Singapore 3-1 at the Singapore National Stadium on November 21, 2023.

The Thai national soccer team had just lost to China the other day, so the victory over Singapore was a valuable point.

In another Group C match featuring the Thai national soccer team, South Korea defeated China 3-0 in Shenzhen.

As a result, South Korea leads the group with 6 points. Thailand and China follow with 3 points each. Singapore remains at the bottom of the group.
