Thailand's Largest Reggae and Ska Festival ``Sunset Beach Music Festival 2023'' Held in Cha Am

Thailand's largest reggae and ska festival, Sunset Beach Music Festival 2023, will take place the Baan Mai Bon Hat resort on Bang Kao Beach in Cha-am.

The festival will start on March 4th, 2023 at 5pm. There will be 13 acts on 2 stages, as well as 10 Thai local and international DJs.

The event will be headlined by Kino from legendary US reggae artist Big Mountain, best known for his band's cover of Peter Frampton's "Baby, I Love Your Way." Other notable performers include JOB 2 DO, KAI-JO BROTHERS, สิงโตนำโชค, and T-BONE.

Many restaurants and souvenir shops will be set up at the event venue, and the festival participants will be excited throughout the night.

Large-scale photovoltaic power generation facility to be installed at Sumitomo Rubber Industries (Thailand) factory

On February 21, 2023, Sumitomo Rubber Industries announced that it will install the world's largest roof-mounted solar power generation system (output of approximately 22 MW) and a gas cogeneration system (2 units of 6.6 megawatt class) at the factory of Sumitomo Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Rayong Province, Eastern Province).

Kansai Energy Solution (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a Thai subsidiary of Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., will install and operate the plant, and will supply all of the generated electricity and steam to the plant. It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 38,000 tons per year.

This service is is operated by 3 companies, which are Nippon Parking Development Thailand, a Thai subsidiary of Nippon Parking Development, HIS Tours, a Thai subsidiary of HIS, and Urban Mobility Tech, a Thai company that develops EV tuk-tuk taxis using the ride-hailing app "MuvMi".

The parking lot operated by Nippon Parking Development Thailand will be used as a meeting place for tours and EV tuk-tuks. In addition, this company will control and operate the entire tour, as well as call center operations. They aim to provide 100 groups of tours per day within three years.
