Suvarnabhumi Airport Introduces New Passenger Verification System
Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport has introduced a new Passenger Verification System (PVS) on September 1, 2022 as part of its security and service enhancements.

PVS started at 9:00 on September 1st at:
・Domestic departure checkpoint entrance (near check-in counter rows C-D)
・Departure checkpoint entrance in International Zone 2 (near check-in counter rows J-K and L-M)
・International Zone 3 departure checkpoint entrance (near check-in counters S-T rows)

PVS has the passenger scan a paper or his e-boarding pass with a machine to read and verify the passenger's travel information. The system enables improved security at airports by accurately screening passengers and preventing unauthorized persons from entering airside or restricted areas. It can also prevent reuse of boarding passes that have already passed through the system.

At the airport, airport staff will assist passengers in using the PVS as needed.

Currently, PVS has been introduced only for domestic flights, but international zone 1 is currently undergoing renovation, and it is expected that PVS will be introduced sequentially in the future.

The PVS procedure (with video) is published on this website, so please refer to it.
