Moderna vaccine arrives for Thailand
Of the approximately 8.7 million doses Moderna mRNA vaccines ordered by the Thai Pharmaceutical Corporation (GPO), the first 560,000 doses arrived in Thailand on November 1. A total of 1.9 million doses will be delivered to Thailand by the end of the year, with an additional 6.8 million doses expected in the first quarter of 2022.
In Thailand, Moderna vaccines will be inoculated to those who wish for a fee, mainly through private hospitals in Thailand. Moderna's mRNA vaccine has been shown to be highly effective with two doses, so lots of countries are fighting for securing Moderna vaccines. It was already started to be sold to those who want it many months ago in Thailand, but the first doses has finally arrived. If you have already purchased it, please be careful about the vaccination information from the hospital where you purchased it.
